this version database is converted from smoke patch X20.

FULL VERSION AND UPDATES :

Usually when the changes in the patch exceeds 3GB we opt for a full version, this is the case in this version, 9.8 is all in one version and no previous versions is needed, this version will have multi updates in the future, one is expected during the world cup to update squads and some kits, and other updates for the new season, this will be decided later on.

X20 DATABASE :

9.8 shares the database of X20 software, this means all the players and stats, teams, kits, squads and all database related files are directly converted from pes 2018 smoke patch X20.

this patch also shares the graphics, stadium effects and more features from patch 2018.

NEW NATIONAL TEAMS :

Total number of national teams are now 133, we added 20 new nationals, all the teams and clubs added can be used in all game modes and can be selected in all national competitions.

BALLS, BOOTS AND GLOVES :

A lot of graphic updates in this version, including updated models for balls, boots and gloves.

FACES AND TATTOOS :

This version have a huge face upgrade, total faces added in smoke patch 9.8 is around 4300 faces, all faces are optimized for best performance and faster fps.

we included a lot of tattoos in this version, more than 400 players have correct tattoos and all are 100% compatible and does not conflict with the patch system files

WORLD CUP SQUADS :

The squads for the national teams are mostly updated, some teams still needs some correction when all teams announces their world cup call-ups, there will be a small update to complete the world cup teams.

KITS :

A lot of kits update in this version, all kits are converted from X20, and any kits update we make will be included in both versions in updates.

HOW TO INSTALL :

- Extract patch files

download all parts and be sure all are completed, extract only part one the rest will be extracted automatically, don't move any of the installation files or folders.

- Run Setupsmoke980.exe

run the installer and choose PES 2017 installation folder, the patch must be installed in the same game folder, be sure you don't get errors and that the installer finished successfully.

NOTES :

- Any other installation method is wrong.

- Changing the patch files is at your own risk.

- Updating the game EXE is not the patch responsibility.

- No previous versions required, only the game and this version.

- This patch is made to focus on offline modes, online features will not find opponents due the difference between the patch system files and the default game.

HOW TO INSTALL :

Extract all files to PES 2018 main folder.

Once you've extracted the content, open the file 'dxgi.ini' with Notepad and change the paths according to where you've extracted the files (pointing to YOUR PES 2018 folder).

If something goes wrong and Reshade fails to start or if it shows any error messages, then it's because you've done something wrong there. So please double check your dxgi.ini file.

Example : in dxgi.ini file, where it says

TextureSearchPaths=F:\2016\STEAM\steamapps\common\PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2018\reshade-shaders\Textures

You have to change it to:

TextureSearchPaths=PATH TO YOUR PES 2018 MAIN FOLDER\reshade-shaders\Textures

NOTES :

- First of all, I suggest you turn 'BLOOM' off in PES 2018 rendering settings.

-Set ingame Brightness/Contrast to 55/45 respectively OR to 35/8. Depending on which preset you've chosen to use.

-You may need a high end PC in order to run PES smoothly with my ReShade presets ON (also, make sure your ReShade is set to 'Performance Mode' by pressing the TAB key on your Keyboard and go to the Settings Tab).

-I'm using Phantom and RainyHancer Turfs pack. I can't guarantee how these presets will look on Konami's default pitches.

-These presets are meant to improve the overall visual immersion from your preferred cameras. Other graphics (Scoreboards, Menus, etc) may be affected undesirably, so you might want to toggle Reshade off (by pressing the PAUSE key on your keyboard) when not playing an actual match.

-Feel free to open the ReShade config by pressing the TAB key on your keyboard and switching off certain shaders such as: Gaussian Blur, Surface Blur, HighPassSharpen and Surface Sharpen because I know some of you won't like that. I do like the effect of blurred out pitches while maintaining player shapes sharpened though, that's why I added those shaders with those particular settings for each preset, otherwise everything looks a bit too noisy by default from Konami =)

Smoke Patch 9.7.0 (X version) release for PES 2017, please read the patch information before downloading or installing smoke patch.

It is necessary to mention that not all aspects of the patch is tested, since the database is converted from X version there might be some abnormalities that was not detected, but if any serious issue is reported it will be fixed in later updates.

KONAMI DP :

Smoke patch includes by default all konami DP (DLC), we always build on the latest konami DP so the patch will always be fully compatible.

KITS :

This version shares the same kits used for smoke patch for pes 2018 (x18), this version have a major kits review for most clubs, enhanced the kits textures for the best quality, also this version we created a lot of champions league kits for major clubs.

TEAMS AND PLAYERS :

The teams in this version are the same as in smoke patch for pes 2018, you can check the teams list here, more teams will be added in pes 2018 and 2017, all the teams are licenced in the patch, with the exception of two teams (pes united and we united) these two teams are left untouched for user customization.

all teams have correct attributes (coach, squads, stadium, ...)

players stats and attributes are the latest konami stats of pes 2018, no fake players in the game (except in the two modifiable teams).

STADIUMS :

We have included a new stadium sound effects for more real feel in the games, special thanks to mauri_d for this.

the same stadiums used in previous smoke patch is used now, with some minor enhancements and corrections.

the problem of stadium names in ML and BAL modes is resolved, all teams shows correct stadium name in all modes (this fix works with steam version only).

for low quality settings users, the same turf switcher can be used with this version.

BOOTS, GLOVES AND BALLS :

Same boots, gloves and balls used in this version, we might make a new packs in the future, meanwhile if you want to add a pack made by others you can replace the CPK files (without changing the dpfilelist)

NOTES :

- It is recommended to delete all files inside the download folder of the game before installing the patch to free up some disk space.

- No previous versions required, only the game and this version.

- Do not use old edit00000 files (using older or other edit files will cause bugs).

- This patch is made to focus on offline modes, online feature will not find opponents due the difference between the patch system files and the original game.
